Helmi Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 26, 2026

Helmi does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Period.

• No data collection — the app has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. The privacy manifest bundled with the app declares no collected data types at all, and no tracking domains.
• No accounts — there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.
• Local storage only — which levels you have solved, your free-tide best scores, what is left in your pouch of perks, and your sound and haptics preferences are saved in the app’s own storage on your device, purely so your progress survives between launches. Deleting the app deletes them.
• iCloud — if you are signed in to iCloud, that same small record of your descent and your pouch syncs through your iCloud account, so a level solved on your iPhone is solved on your iPad. It is held by Apple in your own private key-value storage. There is no server of ours anywhere in that path, and no way for us to read it.
• Game Center is off until you turn it on — and the app does not contact it before then. Switch it on and your progress towards Helmi’s achievements — depths reached, and a few discoveries the game never explains — is reported to Apple’s Game Center under your own player account, so it can appear in your profile. Apple handles that data under its own privacy policy. Switching it off stops all further reporting.
• Purchases — the pouch refills are handled entirely by Apple’s App Store. Helmi never sees your payment details, and the transaction tells us nothing about you. The record of a delivered refill is kept on your device for one reason only: so a purchase interrupted halfway is delivered once rather than twice.
• Sound is synthesised, not recorded — every sound you hear is generated on your device as you play. There are no audio files in the app, and it never uses the microphone.
• Nothing else is touched — no location, no contacts, no photos, no camera, no notifications. Helmi asks for no permissions at all.

Beyond Apple’s own iCloud, Game Center and App Store — all three acting for you rather than for us — Helmi makes no network connections whatsoever. Because it collects nothing, there is nothing for us to share, sell, or lose.
